BLOOMING TUESDAY

Its Bloomin Tue at Jeans

I still have a few blooms
My nasturtiums are still blooming
Nasturtiums tend to attract aphids. but can be treated with insecticidal soap. The flower & leaves are edible they have a slightly pepper like taste. They are better when young as older leaves can be bitter.
Their peppery leaves ward off insects like the cucumber beetles and squash vine borers and several caterpillars.. I very much enjoyed them in my Veggie garden.

I still Have marigolds in bloom

Look what was knocking on my kitchen window
I heard a boom and knock knock.
It is a small red headed wood pecker.

His Mom did not teach him what a tree is.

Have a great week my friends.

I love your nasturtiums. Mine are still going strong too...one of the last brave souls in my garden. Thanks for the information about them. I didn't know that they can ward off insects!

I love nastursiums. I have seen them in salads (on TV). They remind me of my mother. She grew them every year. I really like the photo of the woodpecker.
Happy Bloomin' Tuesday.

Nasturiums are such a multi-purpose plant. Pretty flowers and edible. I love the foliage on them too. :) What a nice surprise visitor you had at your window, lol. Poor little guy, must be really confused. Happy Bloomin' Tuesday Grammy!

What a sweet little woodpecker. I didn't join in this week - no flowers left in my garden.
Loved looking at your nasturtiums. They're still pretty.

I really like your Nasturtiums. I also have them growing in my yard. I like the fact that I never have to plant them, they drop their seed and grow the next season like clockwork! What a cute little vistor you had at your window. That is great he posed for you while you got your camera!
Happy Bloomin Tuesday,
Love, Ann

I love the colors of nasturtiums! I didn't grow any this year, but I usually try as I like to put them in salads. I have crazy woodpeckers pecking on my house too!

Woodpeckers are such beautiful birds. I always put out suet for them in the winter. Birds and flowers always go together.

Beautiful flowers. Aphids infested my mums for three years in a row and I couldn't get rid of them. The plants went to mostly nothing so I got rid of them earlier this year. I was hoping to replace them, but here they only have the tiny bloom mums and not the color I want. I love the color in my ladybug picture.

I think you are right about the bird.
