Magpie Tails .... $1.99

photo by Tess Kincaid for Mag 70
 Who would have thought
Is this all my life was worth
Or is is only the frame
I thought memory's were priceless
Is there no shame
Yet I hold no blame
I loved every treasure I was given
Ancestors adorn by history
Yet some are still a mystery
They are so much apart of us
Grandma's eyes
Daddy's toes
Where did I get this nose

Have a wonderful day and remember to laugh and play.Photobucket

It seems that the price struck a lot of us, deep within the core.

It DOES seem---by the low price tag--that a life is reduced to having less value than a hamburger.

To you I say, nicely written. To Sioux I say, it depends how hungry you are. haha!

Oh, yes. And we'll never know. Well done!

This beautiful young woman really spoke to many of us, as she did to you. Sold for the value of the frame, perhaps? Who knows? But we all seem to care.

….truly, the value of people depreciates when passed by time… it shouldn’t be like that…but these days it’s really happening… i was suddenly reminded of a Japanese tale i read: “the tale of the aged mother”.. ‘tis ’bout the law imposed by a Daimyo that urgently requires its natives to sent all their relatives to death when reached 60 years of age for he thought elders are useless already in the society… the prompt this week is quiet sad. thanks for the read.(:

Brightest blessings.

Yes, so many of us found this a sad photo. Yet, look at her eyes, her face. She is anything but sad! Yes, here she is, only an adornment. I loved that thought! I also love... "where did I get this nose". :)

well done and priceless

Uncanny that so many of us have felt the same and used the same words to express our sad reaction to this photo. Nicely written.

You captured my sentiments, exactly.

Lovely I do think the price is sad and even the thought of her photo being sold rather then being treasured, that thought of being forgotten is haunting. Really though her beauty and spirit cannot be measured in dollars

Solid work, really liked the end-line.

Once we die - we cease to exist, that is, apart from the memories of a few. Sad but true.
