Look I had signs of spring

THANKFUL THURSDAY 11

The theme at Grace alone this week is Basics.
She spoke of all the people in the world that have no heat or food.

I sure know how to be thankful for all the basics in life now.
In the last few years I have learned to be thankful we can flip a switch and have light.
And indoor plumbing. A roof over your head and food in the tummy.
I am so thankful so many good things are happening now.
I am tankful I can laugh and smile. And I love it if I can get you to join in on the happy thoughts.
I am thankful I found a good doctor yesterday.
Most of all I am thankful for my family and friends.

I am also thankful for Hershey's candy company. My friend called the other day and said she heard they were closing. I could not believe my ears. I searched the web and found it was 250 people being let go. They make peppermint patty's and fifth avenue bars. So I know candy is not a basic food. But could you imagine life with out it. And all those sad people who lost there jobs.

I never thought I would say this. But please buy candy.
Big hug to you all.

Calf's are dropping

Looks like spring is on the way.
We were on the hwy toward Jefferson City, Missouri .Monday and saw 2 herds of cows with new baby's.
I did not have my camera with me. This hwy photo is from last Friday . But the next photos are on my daughters road. there are 2 new calf's in this herd.
This pond is awesome. I love the bride over the water.
A road view.
And the view
They also brought the cattle back across the road from me today. There is only maybe 5 or so now. So I do not know if he down sized the herd. or this is how he dose it as I think 1 bull and the rest are about 2 years + old . I was calling them teen agers last year. With a few moms left.

Have a wonderful day and remember to laugh and play.

Camera critters #9

When I woke up Tuesday March 17, 09.
My cat crash wanted out. I was surprised to find my front yard full of starlings. They must have followed me home from St. Louis. I quickly grabbed my camera. There were so many I had to put 3 photos together to show some what of a panoramic view. This is common to see in St. Louis. But not here in the lake area. I watched out of the hospital window on Feb 14, 1999 to see flock after flock 10000's of bird fly by a 4th story window. After that day I saw many of theses birds come and go in my yard. They filled up over an acre of trees at my old home. It kinda makes me wonder whats up with them. They are so many and yet Blue jays were so few. And crows disappeared. With Niles virus.
Here at the lake area they are making a come back.

I found these 2 critters on photobucket and could not resist showing them to you. LOL

THANKFUL THURSDAY 10

I am so thankful for my trip home last weekend
The big roof you see is Corpus Cristy church. I was Baptized there at age 16 and married there in may 10, 1980 This church stands empty now. It is one of the many the POPE closed in St. Louis. My learning in the catholic way is diffrent than most. Father John was diffrent, his mission in life was to bring kids to the church. He introduced the guitar mass. And we had bible study like other Christian churches.
As a kid, I did not learn the all traditional ways of this religion. But as an adult I did and moved on to be a student of religion. That is why I respect every ones choice in the way they believe. As I know GOD is called many names from other religions, and yet it is still the same person. I feel if we just respect other people and there ways we would have a better world. As I believe there is no wrong way to believe.

I am so thankful for my friend Mrs. D, Jozlyn put a smile on her face and made her forget the loss of her husband for a few minutes.

I am so thankful for all my family and friends and most of all to share the joy of a new granddaughter with so many. She was like a little angel this weekend. Passing on warm happy feelings.
