When I woke up Tuesday March 17, 09.
My cat crash wanted out. I was surprised to find my front yard full of starlings. They must have followed me home from St. Louis. I quickly grabbed my camera. There were so many I had to put 3 photos together to show some what of a panoramic view. This is common to see in St. Louis. But not here in the lake area. I watched out of the hospital window on Feb 14, 1999 to see flock after flock 10000's of bird fly by a 4th story window. After that day I saw many of theses birds come and go in my yard. They filled up over an acre of trees at my old home. It kinda makes me wonder whats up with them. They are so many and yet Blue jays were so few. And crows disappeared. With Niles virus.
Here at the lake area they are making a come back.
I found these 2 critters on photobucket and could not resist showing them to you. LOL
Have a great weekend.

You must be putting out quite a banquet for all those birds around your house. It's good to see them coming back. I hope you had a good trip to St. Louis.
Wow, lol
Oh my you took me by surpise here. So that's what a bird dog looks like. Great fun.
Amazing collection of starlings and those other photos are hilarious!
Those special photos cracked me up.
And that's a lot of birds on your lawn! wow!
Loved the pictures!!
We get yards adn trees full of blackbirds like that. Just soo many.
I played CC twice today at Rattitude and My Ordinary Things
I often wonder if birds aren't sent to us, or maybe our eyes are just open to appreciate. The day my chihuahua died this mockingbird I have never seen before keep staring at me, and following me, now, a month later, we are keeping an eye on each other. Maybe it was always there eating my holly berries, maybe its just nesting near by, BUT maybe its more. I do find it comforting.
I've got Blue Jays here... so, come to my part of Missouri if you wanna see Blue Jays! hehe ;-)
The Starlings emptied TWO of my bird feeders (one of them is huge) in one day!
Looks like the Hitchcock movie "the birds" lol !
that dog bird is a bit disturbing!! lol
love the sweeping shot of all the birds!
I'm still laughing at the bird dog or is it a doggull shame?
