Please be kind.

It breaks my heart how so many people are hurt for the way they believe. I have seen at least 2 blog friends hurt by others for there belief or non belief in the celebration of Christmas.

I found this video on the true history of This day.
I learn allot from it.

Video History of Christmas.
It is in a flash player so it took me a bit to get it to load and play.

HISTORY OF THE HOLIDAYS: CHRISTMAS

History of HANUKKAH
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
This is my Christmas tree this year It is a ficus dressed with
red hot chili peppers.
And a home made ornament sent to me by my brother in Ohio.
The Angle on the sorta top is hand made of white paper.
The snowman was made by Jeremy my grandson.
I will be adding more as time goes on.

In the past Christmas was a time of depression for me. It was too commercial.
The kids want so much and in the winter my hubby would be laid off. As he was an Asphalt foreman.
So I tried many ways to ward off depression. I started with a real palm tree decorating it.
But since I had no green thumb for indoor plants. That plant did not last.
I then decorated one of my Banana trees. It was fun.
But then I found this fake ficus.
Aw this is my answer. I can not kill it. yea.
I have seen so many poinsettias. I gave it so much thought then, I found this one Saturday.
Yes, It's fake. I love it. HE HE HE HE.
You all know how I love real plant. But only the out side plants like me.
This year I plan to have the best Christmas in history.
Because it is not how much you give.
It is enjoying the family& friends you have.
And love!

I found this wonderful translator link click here
Now I can put in what my new Italian friend said in my comments and it will tell me what she said. Then I can write what i want and it will give me words for her. She can read my page by the google translator on my side bar. I so love this. But it will not translate my comments for me.

What a great tree! I love trees that are non-traditional. Of course, I love all the traditional ones as well!

It's sad that anyone would be given a hard time for their beliefs, no matter what they are. As long as you aren't harming another as an action of your beliefs, who cares? How is it anyone else's business?

We should all have respect for each other on such personal choices.

It is a shame folks just can't seem to show tolerance sometimes.

I love your ficus tree dressed for the holidays, it's quite festive! I hope you do have a wonderful and blessed holiday!

Thanks for the translator I'm bookmarking that for later.

I love your tree!
I love your lights!
Its just perfect!
I can't tell you how much I loved Thanksgiving, because there were no presents.
Sad, huh?
Bless you, E, as you make this YOUR holiday:)
((Hurting others is NOT the spirit of Christmas (no matter what you do or don't believe)
Thank you for the reminder to be kinder:))

Seen your comment over on Carla's blog and since I am a Grammy too I had to come check out your blog. Plants hate me too. Both inside and outside. The only one that I don't kill is a Peace Lilly. Have you tried one of those yet?

I hope you have a Merry Christmas!

I like your ficus tree and the picture behind it. The red poinsettia too! I couldn't open the video on Christmas. Will try later.
I think sometimes that real plants hate to be confined indoors. That's why they die. I do grow some indoors, but try to stay away from tropical ones as they really want more moisture and light that I can give them here.
Hugs
p.s. I'd love to see you do the dancing elf thing with your grandkids pics or your kids pic. It would be fun!

hehe I'm laughing at the doll 'elder' dolls sitting below your tree. lol! I love your sense of humor.
And I really like your ficus Christmas tree, too. We place red chile lights on our tree at home, too. I just love that warm red glow :)
