Sky Watch Friday # 4

The end of a perfect day.
A sparrow on the tree.

The sky rippled with color of pink and blue. then ended with dark spooky clouds
I am still learning to do night shots. I used 800 iso on my Minolta a200 dslr.
but I still had to lighten it a bit to get this result.
Up date on weather.
It is 12:20 am in Mid Missouri. And light snow is starting to fall.

The second picture is so interestingly beautiful. Was that a bird, a fruit or a leaf? Whatever it is, it was a great focal point in the photo.

My SWF posts are here and here. Hope you can stop by if you can, it'll be very much appreciated. Happy weekends!

Lovely pictures! You have a good eye for photography.

Thanks for telling me about the sock monkey. You make it sound really simple. Will have to try it out after this holiday season is over. And thank you so much for the hot cuppa and yummy treats.

Have a blessed weekend, dear friend!

I know just what you mean about night shots. I have the hardest time with them, too. I love that middle photo with that hint of fire coming at the horizon line.

I like all of your pictures. Love the bird in the tree. I read your profile, I wish I could have some chickens. Where I live, they would not allow even one. I like your blog.

I like your skywatch series this week. It is hard to capture the moon .. I have taken lots of photos before I got one or two worth publishing! I particularly liked the first photo with the branches and the bird, although I was also drawn to the colour in the second one as well. Nice work.

That little sparrow looks cold! Great shots all, especially the sunset.

Really nice end-of-day sequence. Love the lone bird. There's always one of two that stay at my feeder til closing time, too.

Nice! Must be fun to fool around with a real camera! Mine is just a point and shoot with manual features I don't know how to use. I have fun with it anyway but I can't do anything at night. Great job!

You did a great job. I enlarged the photo to see if I could see what kind of bird it was..but of course, it's facing the wrong way..

I think you did a great job capturing that moon behind the branches! It looks like a moon instead of a headlight! Good job!

Great Sky Watch! The fleecy clouds are very pretty, and the moon is beautiful!

P.S. Your sock monkey is so cute - thanks for posting a link to the instructions. I've always wanted to make one.

Hi! I have been busy with "real" people, and guess what I talk about? LOL Thanks for visiting my Skywatch Friday. I like yours, too, and think the second one is my favorite. I have a new camera, too, and need to figure out how to take night pics.

Arija said...

And obviously a happy ending to your day. Hope the littl sparrow did not get too cold.
