It's New

This is defiantly a story of something bad turning into something great.
Our stove bit the dust. I never liked electric stoves.
But we went shopping and at Lowes in the scratch and ding isle I found the bargain of the century.
Not only is this a convection oven but has the5th warming burner.
My gas cook top. I had to leave at my old home had the 5 th burner and I loved it.
This one too has both big burners in front. I like that too.
It is still on the dolly so I have not taken it for a test drive. But I hope cooking will be fun now. I can already tell with the glass top It will be wiped allot. It already has finger prints. So hubby made fun of me cleaning the top before it is even installed.
I am not a clean freak by any means. But like my glass table. That I pretend is not there.
I would walk by and see finger prints. I ended up covering it up. LOL

Any way Thanks Lowes you made my day. I have not had a new appliance since 1996.

The weather has been crazy tonight too. There were as many as 10 funnel clouds around us. We saw one to the south of us. But lucky only 1 touched down. north of us. The sky was green and bouts of heavy rain. But we had no damage. Yea!

Love your new oven. Ee are also in the market looking for one. You picked black but we wanted a white oven. Like you we haven't changed our double stove & oven since
1996. It was brand new when moved in. I don't like to change it yet but something happened to our dishwasher. This dishwasher was also new. But the rack got rusty & staining our dishes. My husband wanted to replace only the rack part but it cost $150.00. So we said we better, buy a new dishwasher. Then we thought we have to change the oven too & micro wave. Okay! Before we know, we wanted to change the white old kitchen tile top w/ something easier to clean, like corian. Our kitchen project got longer but we haven't done anything yet. Still waiting for our refund.

Congrats on the new stove. So glad you found one you like so well. How is it working? Or are you still standing guard over it shining and removing finger prints. Hahaha.....Enjoy your stove and all the good food I will be missing. ;)

Sorry about my slacking off on my visits, I'm just in my lazy hazy days of summer mood.

I much prefer a gas stove, but unfortunately I have to use electric. My stove is sorta like your new one. I use Barkeeper cleanser to keep mine clean. Be careful of sugar getting on the stove top... use a bigger pot when cooking candies and such.

Congrats! I like your new stove. Ah yes, as Betsy said "things happen for a reason". The older I get, the more I believe that.
Enjoy!
