This and that

Cheep E is growing up. Now 3 weeks old and full of spunk.
This little bird thinks, it is a person.
Jeremy put the hamster bottle in, and taught it to drink that way .

The feathers are starting to unroll and remind me of my friends game bird.
So we may not have a chicken. Not sure yet, need a few more weeks to see the development.
My art journal for last night includes a photo of my new swing. Hubby spray painted the green for me. It will continue to evolve as time goes on. But for now, I have a working dream swing. Yea!
I am so happy with my new found love, of multi media art Journaling
This has released my inner child of creativity.
I am learning , if I don't like the results add another layer till it make me happy.
Art is not perfect. Like life there are mistakes and continued learning.
The whole point is to try.
There are many people more gifted.

It is more of a feeling . pleasure is the result.
I was never one to like abstract art. I need a form to go with it. With layering you can learn to love abstract. It is the background for me. Then add structure.
I do not know why I am not happy with out the structure.
It is my inner need for detail's.
I think this is why I love architecture. Old Churches are full of detail.
Nature is full of detail also. It is forever changing.
That is why I could sit in my garden in the past and never finish looking at every detail or just let my mind wonder. As I recently learned . I have never fully looked at every detail out side. There are things hiding every where.
I am continuing my journey with 3 books I just ordered.

Jamie will be doing another book blog Using the book The Joy Diet : 10 Daily Practices for a Happier Life
this book.is not like what we did with Wreck This Journal
by Keri Smith
. This book is not artistic. At first, I did not see how this would be fun. I researched it. I felt I would have to deal with negativity that I have buried. But maybe if I pull them out and deal with them . I will put them to rest forever. So I am in.
Here are the other 2 books I bought.
Book # 2 Art Journals and Creative Healing: Restoring the Spirit Through Self-Expression
: by Sharon Soneff

Book # 3"Living Out Loud" by Keri Smith I hope this is as much fun as her other book. Wreck This Journal

I bought both of these in hope of learning more from creative art.
I feel they may feed my inner child.

I have opened a new blog
Wrecking Sisters united.

With this blog I hope to keep the fun of sharing creativity alive for me and any one who wants to join me.

I love what you say about there will always be people "better" than us at doing something, and doing it anyway for the sheer joy of it. Very wise and just what I need to remember. Oh do I compare myself!

And I love your swing. Happy happy and a wonderful way of making your current home a good place to be (at least for now)

Thanks for the book hint, the Journal-book sounds really good.

I bought "Living out loud" a couple of weeks ago and it's nice, but not the same, BUT the new one "This is not a book" will be, I think.
Thanks for your nice comment on my blog.

PS: the bird is sooo cute!

I've come to the same conclusion - there are many more gifted but the point is to try. I never let myself express myself through art and now it's so much fun and like you I'm learning so much.

Your pages are wonderful - I especially like the pansy butterfly!

I love seeing your artful side, it is so inspiring. Sometimes we just don't take the time to express ourselves, so much is going on, it's hard to make time to be creative.
