Camera critters 10 & funny Friday

I remembered this old joke in the past when I found the perfect photo to go with it. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

A young man named John went to visit
his 90 year old grandfatherPhotobucket in a very secluded, rural area .

After spending a great evening chatting the night away, the next morning John’s grandfather prepared breakfast of bacon, eggsPhotobucket and toast.Photobucket

However, John noticed a film like substance on his plate, and questioned his grandfather asking, ‘Are these plates clean?’

His grandfather replied, ‘They’re as clean as cold water can get em.

Just you go ahead and finish your meal, Sonny!’

For lunch the old man made hamburgers.Photobucket Again, John was concerned about the plates as his appeared to have tiny specks around the edge that looked like dried egg and asked, ‘Are you sure these plates are clean?’

Without looking up the old man said, ‘I told you before, Sonny, those dishes are as clean as cold water can get them. Now don’t you fret, I don’t want to hear another word about it!’

Later that afternoon, John was on his way to a nearby town and as he was leaving, his grandfather’s dog started to growl, and wouldn’t let him pass.

John yelled and said, ‘Grandfather, your dog won’t let me get to my car’.

Without diverting his attention from the football game he was watching on TV, the old man shouted, "Coldwater, go lay down now, ya hear me?
By this time John was turning all shades of green. Photobucket
I found the perfect photo for Coldwater.Photobucket

I need to get myself one of those dishwasher add-ons ;)

Such a fun photo of the dog!! As soon as it loaded, I had to show my partner... telling him how I too would grab my camera if I came across this!

Ahahahaha - I had heard this before, because my uncle (a minister) loves to tell this story, except with him, it's two dogs named "soap" and "water" hehehehe Either way, it's funny and you're right - you DID find the perfect photo!

I *love* it! I wish I had a scanner. I have a picture of my poodle (gone now) standing on the dishwasher doing the same thing when he was a puppy. That was the perfect picture to go with that joke. Coldwater, indeed! LOL!
