My refrigerator make me happy.

This is my 1st edition of Works for Me Wednesday sponsored by Shannon at Rocks in My Dryer.

Why you may ask how a simple refrigerator could make some one happy. Well My house is under construction. So I do not have many walls to hang pictures. My family and most of my friends are all over 150 miles away. So on the front side of the frig, I placed pictures of all the people I saw, and I had fun with them this summer. My frig has old and new pictures of special people in my life.

The left side of the frig has a laminated foot print and a poem from my grandson. he did this in summer school When he stayed with us our first summer here.
I have 2 note pads, I call my brains. One is for grocery's the other for house hold items. And the black thing is a magnetic key holder I use to hold my pen and marker. The small square has a penny with a heart stamped out on it.And heart felt words .
It was a gift from my life long friend.

The side of the frig contains older happy pictures & business cards. Plus extra magnets I cut up to hang thing on the frig with. They were meant for business cards. But I cut them up and place them on all 4 corners of my pictures. So they
will not curl or come off easy.

When my kids were little I had a special piece from each of them. Always on the frig. They decided when they would change. Or if I was so impressed with it I would ask if I could hang it with the one already up there. I gave my kids there own scrap books. They decided what went in them. all the awards some report cards. some pictures great home work. I kept there scrap books and gave it to them when they moved out. They are happy treasures .

I am in no way free of clutter.
I call this organized clutter.
But I do miss all the art work that i had.
When the grandkids come to visit I get out the Abc magnets I saved.
That is why I have had this 1 piece from my Grandson for more then 2 years.

Conclusion:
There is not a day that goes by that I don't see my friend and family.
By having them on the frig and on the phone they are with me in my heart.

What a great idea to cut up all the advertising magnets. We have a ton of those and they'd be put to much better use diced and holding up photos of friends!

It's great to keep our "happy thoughts" close at hand! We have so much to be thankful for. And maximizing those free magnets is ingenious.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

Great idea!! I have stuff from my kids all over my fridge. I have to stop myself because I frequently want to clean it off because it looks cluttered. I have to remember what blessings I have up there!!

This is why I would LOVE a conventional fridge. Ours is built in, and I love magnets.

What a happy, cheery looking refrigerator. Mine's covered in small child art, shopping lists and school memos. It's a mess!

I LOVE going into a kitchen, with a fridge FULL of photos displayed on it!! My fridge front is stainless steel and magnets don't work on it. Bummer, thank you for sharing your blessings!

Wow and it still looks so neat. I think I need to make mine a little straighter so it stops driving me nuts.

Your fridge makes me happy too! I love a lived in house that you can tell real people live in. Have you ever been in a house without photos? They make me nervous.

The fridge is such a great place to keep pics of those important to us! To answer your question about the baker, no it is not coated on the inside, but I have not noticed it to take out moisture. I usually add a tiny amount of water, but the way it cooks, it really produces a lot of juice from the meat, just like my slow cooker does.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. In answer to your question about the Broccoli Cornbread recipe I posted......you can not taste the cottage cheese at all. This cornbread is sweet and dense and I can eat a ton of it!

Love your fridge, it looks somewhat like mine!

Awww, I can tell that your organized clutter brings you much joy, seing all those photos of happy smiling faces and little bits of special keepsakes and memories.

I used to keep my fridge in a similar fashion, but in this house our fridge sits beside a very narrow opening into the fridge from our hallway, and anything on the front of it would fall off when anyone squeezed by.

Thanks for sharing your special fridge :)

I think that this is the exact way all refrigerators should look : ). Full of pictures of people we love! When I go into someones house and they have a stark empty one, I feel a little sad : (.

You are such a young Grammy : ). I love that name. That is why I clicked on you in the first place. Quince is my 40 year old co worker. He had a stroke about 2 weeks ago. He was not discovered for 7 hours. His 13 year old son found him. He was not responsive after his first two surgeries. He can not move his left side. His kids (13, 10 and 4 I think) are SO scared. His wife is really scared too. Thank you for asking about him and thank you for praying. That is the best thing we can do! God bless you today!
