The only time I've spent any significant time in MO was between November of 1983 and February of 1984 when I had the ... ahem... fortune to be stationed at Ft. Lost-In-The-Woods for basic training. And based on that experience, you could have convinced me that polar bears are in fact, native to Missouri. And even though I thought I'd never been so cold for so long in all my life, when I finished basic, I got to go to Illinois for the rest of the winter. More polar bears.

Brr... thanks anyway. But I'll never complain about the 10's and 20's we get here again, that's for sure!

I love the Eagles! Poor penguin... Or maybe the polar bears are just trying to heat him up a bit...? :-)

Greetings from West Africa, where we have neither rain, polar bears or penguins for the time being!

Welcome to Myworld. I think it is one of the best memes because one can go and see where all the favourite bloggers live. Interesting, and pretty places like your lake area. I can see you are a person who likes to laugh and have some fun. I hope you could restore your PC to its old self. Probably needed a rest.

I'm glad you linked to larger images. The post images got cut off on the right side and I would have missed the Herons which are one of my favorite birds.

The herons are long gone around here and I'm waiting for their return this spring. I had one clean out the goldfish and frogs from my garden ponds last season :)

The dam was great. What a sight those eagles are, just casually hanging out there.

Sad fate for Pingu. Not a sight for the kids.

As a hydrologist I approve of this post. Lots of water and water control structures.
